case study about a mobile guide for zoo visitors
The zoo is a place for entertainment, recreation and education at the same time. Whether the whole family, the school class or the animal's godfather is visiting, everyone has a certain need and expectation for a pleasant experience. After reviewing current mobile apps for zoos and having interviews with zoo visitors and researches on site I developed a concept that focuses on families as the zoo's main visitor group. The aimed outcomes of the concept are to make it easy for families to plan their visit, improve navigation on site and to support collective experiences. The latter is addressed by including a discovery path with quiz and games for kids and grown-ups.
