The Human Rights Center in Cottbus is a former prison. From 1933 to 1989 political prisoners were kept there. Today it serves as a memorial and hosts an exhibition about the prisoners’ personal fate and human rights in general. For this exhibition, SYNTOP designed several multi-media installations dealing with conditions of imprisonment.
